You will need:
1 kilogram ground beef (with your desired fat percentage)
25 gram of Turkish Sausages Spice Blend
2 tablespoons olive oil (or any vegetable oil)
10 minced garlic cloves
Salt (to taste)
Cayenne pepper (to taste)
Let's get cooking!
- Incorporate xx grams of Turkish Sausages Spice Blend, 10 finely minced garlic cloves, and 2 tablespoons of olive oil into your ground beef. Adjust the salt and cayenne pepper to your preferred taste in this step.
- Knead the ground beef till well incorporated and homogenized. Don't be scared of over-kneading, it's very crucial here to achieve the desired sausage texture.
You can use your kitchen machine for a quicker texture result. - Divide your ground beef into 4 parts; 250 grams each. Using cling film (plastic wrap) roll each part into a thick log; chub-like form. Keep them wrapped to help with handling them later.
We are not using any casings here; yet you can surely seek your local butcher's assistance in stuffing the ground beef into beef casings. You will need to air-dry them covered for three days before freezing them. - After wrapping them, it's important to let them rest in room temperature for 3 hours, then in the fridge for 2 whole days before freezing them.
- Once frozen, they can last for up to 6 months in the freezer. Just remember to unwrap them before slicing them into 0.5 cm slices. They are great for breakfast; especially menemen aka. the most amazing breakfast ever.
