Bring the taste of a classic American breakfast to your table with this easy homemade breakfast sausage recipe! These flavorful sausage patties are made from fresh ground meat mixed with simple spices — no casings, no special equipment, just real ingredients you can trust. Ready in under 20 minutes, these American-style sausages are perfect for a hearty breakfast, a weekend brunch, or even meal prep for busy mornings. Try them once, and you’ll see why making your own is always better!

You will need:

  • For the patties
  • 1 kilogram ground beef (with your desired fat percentage)

  • 25 grams of American Breakfast Sausage Spice Blend

  • Salt (to taste)

  • For the sandwich/mcmuffin assembly:
  • Burger buns/English muffins

  • Red cheddar cheese slices

  • Mayonnaise

  • 10 eggs

Let's get cooking!

  • Prepping the patties
  • Add 25 grams of American Breakfast Sausages to 1 KG of ground beef (with your desired fat percentage), and add salt to your taste in this step.
  • Knead the ground beef till well incorporated and emulsified, just make sure not to over-knead your ground beef.
  • Shape the ground beef into patties that are a bit larger than the size of your burger buns/English muffins (considering patty shrinkage). Or you can roll them into balls, and lightly press them to the desired thickness on the skillet (the same way we make smashed burgers)

I would recommend that each patty weighs 100 grams, that way 1 kg of ground beef would perfectly give you 10 patties.
  • Heat your lightly greased skillet on medium-high heat. Place or press your patties and cook them for 2-3 minutes on the first side, flip, and cook for another minute or two until fully cooked.
  • Putting your breakfast delight together:
  • Slice and lightly toast your burger buns with butter, or warm your English muffins.
  • Spread some mayonnaise on your sandwich base, add a red cheddar cheese slice, add your beef patty, add your egg omelet (1 egg per sandwich), and then your sandwich top.
